Etching on hand laid paper, made by Gerard van Nijmegen (Rotterdam, 1735 – 1808 Newbury), 1790. Sheet size 234 x 188 mm., platemark 187 x 145 mm.
Gerard van Nijmegen was a Dutch painter, draughtsman and etcher in the Romantic style. His etchings are mainly landscapes and animal prints.
In good condition, some foxing in the margins, a crease in the lower right (blank area) of the print. With the collection mark of Pim van Eekelen (Lugt 5101) stamped on the verso.
