Bust portrait of Rudolph II, Holy Roman Emperor, bearded, slightly turned to the right, in oval frame. Inscription on oval frame: ‘RUDOLPHUS II D.G. ROM. IMPERAT. SEMP. AUG. GERM. HUNG. BOH. DALM. REX’ Four lines French name and funciton in lower margin: ‘Tres-Illustre tres-noble… de Rome. etc.’ Signed with address on the bottom: ‘Henr. hondius exc. Hagae-Comitis Cum priv.’ The series is dedicated to the pacificators of the Netherlands and was published in 1608
