Half-length portrait of Cornelis Danckaert (1510-1568) at the age of 51; he was a teologian in Amsterdam. He is portrayed in an oval with a book in his hands. Inscribed in the oval frame: ‘MR. GRATIANVS CORNELY.S. THEOLO. BACCALAVREVS FORMATVS. AETA. LI’, in a banderol underneathfive lines Dutch text: ‘Diet al… hieten… JJ’ at the bottom of this cartouche signatures:’W.C. heda pinx.’, ‘J.V.Velde sculp.’ and ‘C. Koning Excudit’
