Copy after Annibale Carracci’s popular engraving of the Madonna della Scodella: the Madonna, seated with the infant Christ on her lap, holds a bowl for the infant Baptist to drink from; St. Anne standing in the back, watching over the scene with her left hand raised. Lettered on the bottom right: ‘A.b.C.I.’ Documented copy number 12 (Berlin). In this copy figures have no halo and the background has no hatchings
