Allegory of winter: interior with three peasants holding ovals with representations of the zodiacal signs characterizing the season depicted. Aries, Pisces and Aquarius are in fact the three signs. Lettered, signed and dated below: ‘R.J.f. / DE WINTER. / A. 1765’. Frontispiece to a set of thirteen plates with winter scenes.
