Without place or printer, dated to 16 August 1790, single folded leaf, 4 pp., there are some waterstains along the foldline, with a thread remaining, so it once was bound. With a woodcut Utrecht city crest.
Pamplet concerning the commemmoration of the evacuation of the city of Utrecht in 1787. During the war between the patriots and those loyal to the Dutch royal family, Utrecht was evacuated on 16 September 1787. The next day Willem V and his army regained power, putting an end to time of the patriots. In this pamphlet it is explained that this year, like the previous year, there will be a memorial honouring this event. It is stated that tradesmen and shopkeepers are expected to pause their work and close their shops during this memorial, or they risk a fine.
