Carel Christiaan Anthony Last (Amsterdam 1808-1876 The Hague) was a Dutch painter, draughtsperson and lithographer. He studied at the Koninklijke Academie (Royal Academy) in Amsterdam and was taught by Belgian painter Jean-Baptiste Van der Hulst, while he resided in The Hague. While he drew and painted interiors and portraits, he is mainly remembered as one of the first Dutch artists to use the new medium of lithography.
In good condition. Some scattered foxing and soiling in the margin edges, minimal paper loss in the top right margin corner.
