Portrait of Anne Marie d'Orléans (1669-1728). She was Queen of Sardinia by marriage to Victor Amadeus II of Savoy and served as regent of Savoy during his absence in 1686 and during the War of the Spanish Succession. She is also an important figure in British history, specifically in the Jacobite Succession.
Etching and engraving on hand laid paper, sheet size 307 x 202 mm. By an anonymous artist, published by Jean Mariette, between 1684 (the latest date on the print) and 1742 (end of productive period Mariette).
In good condition, cropped to or within platemark, a few small wrinkles in the sheet edges.
