Engraving on hand laid paper, sheet size 304 x 230 mm., platemark 255 x 196 mm. Engraved by Jacques Lubin. This print was published as an illustration for Perrault's 'Les Hommes illustres' (Paris: Dezallier, 1696-1700)
Little is known about Jacques Lubin's life. He was born around 1659 and died after 1703, and was an engraver and designer, known for his portraits.
In very good condition, some light foxing in the margins.
