Aquatint portrait in etched decorative border, on hand laid paper, sheet size 230 x 168 mm. Engraved by Pierre Charles Coqueret after Jean Baptiste Ponce Lambert, published in the series 'Collection générale des Portraits de MM. les Députés à l'Assemblée Nationale Constituante, tenue à Versailles le 4. Mai 1789'. This series was published by Nicolas-François Le Vachez in 1789.
Pierre Charles Coqueret (Paris 1761-1851 Saint-Florentin) was a French aquatint engraver. He exhibited at the Salon from 1798 to 1810.
Jean Baptiste Ponce Lambert (active at the end of the eighteenth and beginning of the nineteenth century) was a French painter.
In very good condition, cropped within platemark. Some faint soiling in the margin edges.
