Bust-length portrait of François Arago, looking to the left. Dominique François Jean Arago (1786-1853), was a French mathematician, physicist, astronomer, freemason and politician.

Adolphe Alexandre Joseph Caron (1797-1867) was a French printmaker.
Ary Scheffer (1795-1858) was a Dutch-French Romantic painter. He was known mostly for his works based on literature as well as religious subjects. He was also a prolific painter of portraits of famous and influential people in his lifetime.
