Bust-length portrait of Jacques Laffitte, looking forward. Jacques Laffitte (1767-1844) was a French banker, governor of the Bank of France (1814-1820) and liberal member of the Chamber of Deputies during the Bourbon Restoration and July Monarchy.

Émile Giroux (active c. 1830-1860) was a French printmaker.
Hendrik Scheffer (The Hague 1798-1862 Paris) was a Dutch painter in the Romantic tradition who lived in France for most of his life. In France he is usually known as Henri Scheffer.
In very good condition, some soiling and small creases in the left and lower margins.
