Bust-length portrait of Justus Henning Böhmer, turned to the right and looking forward. Justus Henning Böhmer (Hanover 1674-1749 Halle) was a German jurist, ecclesiastical jurist, Professor of the University of Halle and also Geheimer Rat, count palatine and chancellor of the Duchy of Magdeburg.
Engraving on laid paper, sheet size 142 x 92 mm., engraved by Johann Friedrich Rosbach and published in Leipzig, c. 1725.
Johann Friedrich Rosbach was a German engraver and reproductive artist, as well as draftsperson, active around 1720-1745, in Berlin and Leipzig (1720-1728).
In good condition, cropped within platemark. A small stain in the top edge, corners minimally damaged.
