Portrait of Franz Zitz, torso-length, turned to the left and with a hand in his coat. Dr. Franz Heinrich Zitz (Mainz 1803-1877) was a prominent Mainz attorney.
Engraving on wove paper, sheet size 249 x 163 mm., platemark c. 185 x 125 mm. By an anonymous engraver. Published in Meyers Konversationslexikon, c. 1850.
In very good condition, original fold and binding holes in the right margin, lower and top margin edges faintly browned.
