En profil portrait of Kamehameha II (1797-1824), the second king of the Kingdom of Hawaii from 1819 to 1824. His birth name was Liholiho and full name was Kalaninui kua Liholiho i ke kapu ʻIolani.
Stipple engraving with roulette, on wove paper, sheet size 213 x 141 mm., platemark 187 x 126 mm. Made by an anonymous engraver for The Lady's Magazine, 1824.
In good condition, original binding holes in the right margin, minimal surface damage just beside the portrait, and a small stain in the shading. All but the far right edge of the sheet faintly browned. Some scattered spots of foxing in the margins.
