Wijnand Otto Jan Nieuwenkamp Amsterdam (1874 – 1950 San Domenico di Fiesole) was a Dutch graphic artist, painter, architect, shipwright and expolorer. He made extensive travels to several of the Indonesian islands, including Java, Bali, and Lombok. Consequently, he made orientalist prints, as well as Dutch landscapes.
An excellent early printing in red of this delicate plate. Collector's stamp (gJh or pJh, not in Lugt) on the verso lower left.
