Stylistic depiction of a roe deer in a field.
Woodcut on Japanese paper, sheet size 347 x 291 mm., image size c. 235 x 215 mm. Made by Jaap Veldheer and published in the Houtsnedenummer (Woodcut issue) of the famous periodical Wendingen in 1919 (year 2, nr. 7/8). It was printed by De Volharding and published by De Hooge Brug.
Jacbous Gerardus ('Jaap') Veldheer (Haarlem 1866 – 1954 Blaricum) was a Dutch painter, etcher, graphic artist and designer.
In very good condition. The left edge folded over, a crease in the top right edge.
