'Banks of the Aure'. A single swan swims on the river Aure.
Etching on laid paper, sheet size 289 x 193 mm., platemark 109 x 67 mm. Made by Jules Joseph Augustin Laurens after his own design.
On the verso, a very faint impression of the text of the opposite page identifies this print as one from the periodical 'Paris à l'eau forte', which was published from 1873 to 1876.
Jules Joseph Augustin Laurens (Carpentras 1825-1901 Saint-Didier) was a French illustrator, graphic artist, painter and watercolorist. His father as well as his brother were also artists. He was taught by his father, as well as Paul Delaroche.
In very good condition, in matting. Two tiny spots in the margins. The image clear and strong.
