Johannes Josephus Aarts (The Hague 1871-1934 Amsterdam) was a printmaker, art teacher and author. He taught at the Academie van Beeldende Kunsten (The Hague), and was later successor to Pieter Dupont at the Rijksacademie Amsterdam. Many of his engravings feature beggars and scenes from everyday life.
Finely detailed engraving, a gorgeous impression in excellent condition.
