Dutch arboreal landscape, with a woman and two children resting near a pond from which a dog is drinking. Thatch-roofed barns between the trees in the background.
Etching and roulette on chine-collé on laid paper. Sheet size 295 x 200 mm., platemark 238 x 145 mm. Made by Christiaan Immerzeel, after his own design, as the only etching he ever made.
Christiaan Immerzeel (The Hague 1808-1886 Cassel) was a Dutch painter, publisher, watercolorist and lithographer, from a family of artists.
In good condition, the carrier sheet quite soiled. The image itself clean and fresh.
