On the edge of a river is a ruin, that was tranformed to a farm. To figures are walking towards the farm. This print is number 7 from a series of twelve.
Etching and engraving on laid paper, sheet size 114 x 68 mm. Made by Gillis van Scheyndel after his own design, c. 1605-1650.
Gillis van Scheyndel (Abcoude 1635-1678 Amsterdam) was a Dutch painter and printmaker, who made mainly landscapes and marines.
In good condition, cropped within platemark and with some faint foxing in the image area.
