Beschrijving
A man and a woman carrying a baby on her back, accompanied by a donkey (possibly the Holy Family), in a mountainous landscape with a ruin. Near the ruin are three additional figures.
Etching and engraving on laid paper. Due to cropping, no signatures occur, but this is quite probably a print made by one of the Perelle family members of French printmakers: Nicolas, Gabriel or Adam. Sheet size 173 x 203 mm. Undated, 17th century.
In good condition, cropped within the platemark, attached to laid paper carrier. Some surface soiling in the lower left shadows. With the collection mark of Pim van Eekelen (Lugt 5101) stamped on the verso of the carrier.
