A man with cane, seated in a chair. A broken pipe at his feet. Print from a series of twelve: '12 Studie-beeldjes'.
Etching on thin laid paper, sheet size 101 x 156 mm., platemark 63 x 105 mm., etching by Anthonie W.H. Nolthenius de Man (Nijmegen 1793-1842 The Hague) after his own design, and dated 1828.
In very good condition, some minimal creasing in the margins.
References: the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam recognises three states of this print, this corresponds with their third state of three.
