The sun rises in the background. In the foreground a man and a donkey cross a stone bridge toward a villa. Number 5 from a series of ten landscapes.
Etching on hand laid paper, sheet size 215 x 157 mm., platemark 211 x 154 mm., etching by Jean Jacques de Boissieu (1736-1810) after Claude Lorrain (c. 1600-1682). The series was published in Paris by Pierre François Basan (1723-1797). This is the only print in the series not made after the own design of Boissieu.
In very good condition, margins cropped close to the platemark, a faint stain in the left edge.
