Half-length portrait of Frederick Henry (Dutch: Frederik Hendrik; 1584-1647), sovereign prince of Orange and stadtholder of Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Guelders and Overijssel in the Dutch Republic from 1625 until his death in 1647. In the last seven years of his life, he was also the stadtholder of Groningen.
Engraving on hand laid paper, sheet size 342 x 482 mm., engraving by Paulus Pontius (1603-1658) after Anthony van Dyck (1599-1641) and published by C. van der Stock, c. 1630.
In good condition, cropped within platemark, attached to carrier sheet. Minimal paper loss in the top right edge. Some creases in the image area, lower edge faintly soiled.
