Landscape with a river crossed by a steep stone bridge, a castle tower to the right. In the foreground three figures with nets near a fishing boat, as well as a nobleman on horseback with a falcon, accompanied by a dog handler with two dogs. To the left a herdsman with a group of cows.
Etching and engraving on hand laid paper, sheet size 312 x 224 mm., engraving by Willem van Nieulandt (II) (1584-1635) after Paul Bril (1554-1626). This print is part of a series of similar Italian landscapes after Paul Bril.
In good condition, although cropped within platemark. Attached to carrier by the top corners. Minimal paper loss in the top left corner (backed with paper). A few small stains, two visible in the image area. Some surface soiling of the image area.
