Beschrijving
To the right a burial monument flanked with cedar trees. A woman carrying a flat basket of flowers on her head approaches the monument. In the foreground are two more women occupied with gathering and carrying flowers, one of the women with a young boy at het side.
Etching on hand laid paper, sheet size 204 x 241 mm., engraved by Albert Meyering (or Meyeringh) after his own design, c. 1690. Albert Meyering (1645-1714) specialised in classical landscapes.
In good condition, cropped to the platemark, a faint, but quite large, stain in the right edge, a small stain in the lower edge. Collection mark verso: Pim van Eekelen (Lugt 5101).
