Beschrijving
A salesman of rat poinson with his dog and apprentice. The boy holds a staff with a small cage with dead rats. The man carries a bag and tools, and a rat crawls on his cape.
Etching and engraving on laid paper, by Cornelis Visscher (II) after his own design, sheet size: 384 x 326 mm., cropped to or within platemark, two small tears in the right margin, otherwise excellent. A very nice impression of the final state of this famous engraving.
