Beschrijving
's Graven-Hage (The Hague), Jacobus Scheltus, [ca. 1690], mostly 4to., full parchment spitsel binding with faded handwriting on spine and yap edges. Collection of 89 ordnances dating from 1531 until 1689. The collection opens with an engraved titlepage (without date) and a table of content listing all the ordnances which are numbered in contemporary handwriting. Many entries have their own titlepage with woodcut vignet depicting the Dutch lion and there are some decorative initials. The parchment is damaged at the top and bottom of the spine and not all spitsels are intact. Only one headband remains. The bookblock is fairly solid and with hardly any stains. There are some contemporary notes in pencil and ink. From the collection of Jelle Kaspersma and Alie Vinke (2011).
