Loven (Leuven), Franciscus vande Velde, 1706, (8),xvii, 18-264pp. half leather binding (19th century), gilt lettering on spine, titlepage with vignette, some staining to titlepage, name of previous owner in ink on first paste-down endpaper, free endpaper missing, ‘Soeur Lulalie’ written in pencil on last paste-down endpaper. Written by Mathias Croonenborch (1622-1684). This is the second edition from the first printed in 1682. In the book advice is given how to assist the sick in their way to the eternal life, aka death. Very interesting book showing the 17th century opinions on death and dying. Scarce.
