Brussel, Benedictus le Francq, 1780, 12mo., poorly rebound with use of the original leather covering and original marbled endpapers in the back, some goldtooling still visible on the spine, 223 pp., the original binding was considerably damaged with broken hinges and cuts, it has been patched up by pasting it to a new cover of cloth and cardboard, the bookblock is in better condition than the binding without much staining and only darkened edges and darkened and worn outer pages. Complete with engraved frontispiece and 24 fold out hand coloured maps depicting continents and countries. The blank pages in the front and back show various contemporary notes dated to 1782 and 1831. It concerns ownership signatures, a list of the atrological signs and a note with the four cardinal points. For instance: ‘Deezen Boek hoort toe aan Adriaan Blankaars (…)’.
