Haarlem, Mozes van Hulkenroy, [1742], 4to., transparent paper cover, unsewn (punch holes from earlier bindings visible), 12 pp., some light foxing, with an engraved printer's mark on the title page (Typographia Huc Primum Inventa A L.Costero MCCCCXXIIX: referring to Laurens Janszoon Coster as the inventor of printing) and a lovely woodcut tailpiece to mark the end of the poem. The ‘Witte Angieren’ was a ‘rederijkerskamer’ (association of rhetoric artists) in Haarlem consisting mainly of immigrants from Vlaanderen (Flanders). The Rederijkerskamer was acknowledged by the city counsil in 1592. Members were: the painter Carel van Mander, Jan Olthof, Jacob van der Schuere and Izaak van der Vinne.
