Antwerp (Hantwerpen), Ioachim Trognaesius, 1605, 8vo., full parchment binding, handwritten title on spine, red coloured edges, [26]+534+[18] pp., smudges and somewhat damaged parchment (especially the back), loosenend structure with some signatures coming undone, some (water)stains, some worming in the first blank pages. With several writings in different hands and from different periods of time: the oldest note seems to be on the inside of the parchment front cover, then there is one in red ink, one in darker ink (Eduard (?) van Dijk), another one in red ink in Latin (starting with: sum Guberti (?)), another darker one (Antonius de Raue (?) Retogitabo) and an ex libris note from a library. In the back ‘Van Fraater Tunissen’. The notes are all difficult to read. Printer's mark on titlepage (Augetur), several head- and tailpieces and some decorative initials. Extensive work on heresy and the way in which heretics endanger the world. Scarce.
