17th century, no specific date, after 1624, 4 pages, 3 with text, blind softcover paper binding, waterstain on last page, request by Pieter van Hulle to Iohan Wolphaert van Brederode, then the lord of Heemstede, to solve certain problems concerning his trade as a bleacher (bleker). According to the publication by S.C. Regtdoorzee Greup-Roldanus ‘Geschiedenis der Haarlemmer Bleekerijen. s-Gravenhage, 1936’, Pieter van Hulle (1585-1655) actively advocated the constitution of a bleachersguild (blekersgilde) in order to withstand the influences of other actors in this field. This guild was ultimately formed. Van Hulle wrote many requests in this respect between 1624 and 1649 and lived in Bloemendaal and later in Bennebroek.
