Haarlem (Harlemi), Nicolai Brauw, 1705, one signature of six folded leaves plus marbled paper cover, 25x21cm, 24 pp., the cover is worn and torn with creased edges, pages smudged and discoloured. Ex library copy with stamp: Bibl. Hageveld. It concerns a petition to Pope Clement XI (23 July 1649 – 19 March 1721). The canons of the St. Bavo Church in Haarlem have been set back in title and function, due to the Reformation and a change in the religious hierarchy in the Netherlands. In this petition they plea for the recovery of their original status.
