Leiden; Pieter vander Eyk, 1744-1750, complete set with 5 parts in three volumes, 8vo., three full leather bindings, ribbed spines with goldtooling and titleplates, some blind tooling on the front and back covers, red sprinkled edges, [28]+284+[32]+306[42]+[30]+348+[52]+400+[56]+[24]+713+[99] pp., the leather is slightly worn on all three spines with some damage to bottom of spine of second volume, the first and last pages of each volume show some discoloring and some stains, volume three has some worming in the first half of the book, some decorative initials and endpieces, Ex Libris: ‘What is will remain’, depicting a wax seal with an heraldic lion. Gerard van Loon (1683-1758) was a Dutch lawyer and historian who wrote several books. Not in De Buck.
