B.A. Nauta was a Dutch Doctor of humanities, connected to Leiden University, who studied philosophy and literature. This leaflet is a printed version of a speech given by Nauta. The occasion is unknown. The second signature contains two handwritten notes: one by the author (a dedication to a Dutch literary company called Utilitatis Ergo), and one by J.F. van Hoogstraaten (stating that the leaflet has been added to the collection of this company on 30 March 1827).
