Paris: Nicolas de la Coste, 1672. 4°: 109+(7) pp. illustrated, attractive full leather tooled binding, gilt ornaments on spine, one ornament missing, some minor damage to hinges, some minor wear and tear to front and edges. Engraved titlepage (tear at bottom, back of titlepage partly reinforced) by Fra. Bignon from 1649 and 34 engraved plates of coats of arms (one coat of arms was cut out and has been replaced. Stamp of Centraal Bureau voor Genalogie on flyleaf, Jean Royer de Prade was a heraldic historian, who is best known for his Discours du tabac (1677) and was close friends with Savinien Cyrano de Bergerac. The Trophee darmes has four editions (1650, 1655, 1659, 1672). Very good and attractive copy.
