Genre scene with a woman in the center foreground milking a cow. A boy on the left playing with a goat. On the right foreground other farm animals. In the background a farm in the countryside. Numbered on the bottom right: ‘2’. On verso in pencil: ‘Rijnvisch’. On old mount: ‘ Vente van der Kellen no. 800’ and ‘Jan Kobell der Aeltere 1760-1822’. Kobell used to draw landscapes, besides portrait. He might have had copied the composition from an original drawing signed as Rijnvisch.
