The book is in very good condition, and beautifully bound: half leather French binding with richly decorated spine, gilded top edge and lovely suminagashi (Japanse marbled) endpapers. The book block is clean without any damage to the construction and hardly any stains. The binding has some wear on the bottom edges, from sliding it on and off a bookshelf.
