Handwritten obligation on parchment, dated to 1675. The first paragraph is written in Latin, the second explains in English what the obligation entails. It concerns an obligation between father and son: John Plummer senior and John Plummer junior. The obligation extends to their heirs (and or legal administrators) and must be fulfilled ‘at all times for ever hereafter’. It is not clear to me what obligation is agreed upon. The document was signed and sealed in front of Joseph Cole and John Wight Junior (and someone else, but the name is not legible to me). Father and Son Plummer also signed the document. On the bottom right of the parchment, strips were cut to attach the red wax seals to. The seals are damaged.
