Gerard Valck (Amsterdam 1652-1726) was a North-Netherlandish son of a skipper. He was a reproductive engraver, draughtsperson, publisher and art dealer. He worked in copper engraving, mezzotint and etching. His first dated work is a mezzotint after Guido Reni's Sleeping Cupid, dated 1677.
In good condition, margins cropped close to the platemark. Some minor imperfections in the margin edges. Generally clean.
