Abraham Genoels (nickname: Archimedes) (Antwerp 1640 – 1723 Antwerp) was a Flemish Baroque painter, printmaker, draughtsperson, and tapestry designer. He is mainly remembered for his landscape paintings and prints. He worked in many places in Europe, including Paris, Rome and Antwerp.
A beautiful print, but not in the best condition. Cropped within platemark, a small stain in the top right corner, some minimal paper loss top right, a a small stain in the center of the image, and another above the head of the standing soldier, some soiling in the left edge.
