Landscape with resting cows near a wooden fence. A windmill and village in the background, as well as some more cattle.
Etching with plate tone on wove paper, sheet size 345 x 270 mm., platemark 318 x 247 mm. Made by Christiaan Godfried Schütze van Houten, perhaps after Jan Kobell, c. 1821-1869.
Christiaan Godfried Schütze van Houten (Rotterdam 1807-1869) was a Dutch painter, engraver and etcher who made prints after Kobell, Berchem and Van Strij.
In good condition, the margins and edges a little uneven, and with some surface damage and soiling. The image with some small stains, but generally clean.
