Printdrawing on hand laid paper. Printdrawing is a reproductive technique combining etching in the crayon manner and roulette, with other techniques, to approach the free line of pencil drawing. Made by Bernard Schreuder after Govert Flinck, under supervision of Cornelis Ploos van Amstel (who is credited with inventing the printdrawing technique), 1773. Sheet size 187 x 252 mm.
Bernard Schreuder (died 1780 Hoorn) was a Dutch etcher and printmaker, and a employee of the workshop of Cornelis Ploos van Amstel. Govert Flinck (Cleve 1615-1660 Amsterdam) was a German-born Dutch painter and art collector.
In very good condition, cropped to the image edge.
