Bust-length portrait of a man looking to the left. This man is identified as Jan de Paep, a job merchant from Amsterdam.
Engraving on hand laid paper, sheet size 158 x 145 mm. Made c. 1638-1658.
Made by Cornelis III Visscher (Haarlem 1628 – 1658 Amsterdam), a Dutch printmaker, painter and draughtsperson. He was the brother of Johannes and Lambert Visscher.
In very good condition, but with margins cropped close to the image edge. Either a blank lower margin, or a caption (determines state).
