Depiction of a sculpted bust of Dutch poet Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft, crowned with a laurel wreath.
Stipple engraving on hand laid paper, sheet size 280 x 210 mm., Engraving by Johannes Lutma and published in Amsterdam, c. 1634-1689.
Johannes Lutma (Amsterdam 1624-1689) was a Dutch printmaker, goldsmith, silversmith painter and draftsperson. He became a master in the Amsterdam guild in 1643, and in 1651 travelled to Rome.
In very good condition, a pencil border in the far edges of the margin, minimal soiling in the lower edge.
