Etching on wove paper, made by Johann Adam Klein after his own design, dated 1813. Sheet size 329 x 237 mm., platemark 213 x 164 mm.
Johann Adam Klein (Nuremberg 1792 – 1875 Munich) was a German painter and printmaker. Many of his graphic works display soldiers or figures with various occupations. He also made many etchings of domestic animals.
In very good condition, the image clean and crisp, a faint dampstain in the top margin edge, and a stain from oil or moisture in the lower margin (not nearly affecting image).
