Forest landscape with a woman close to an open gate, carrying a jug and a barrel on a yoke. To the right , a man with a dog leans against a tree. In the background cattle is grazing and drinking from a stream.

Hermanus Fock (Amsterdam 1766-1822 Amsterdam) was a capable draughtsperson and printmaker. Most of his works are landscapes (some with figures), in the region around Haarlem, Amsterdam, Zandvoort and Velsen. From 1816 to 1821 he was a teacher of drawing in Franeker.
In very good condition, cropped to the platemark and glued to a card carrier. Minimal paper loss in the top left corner.
