A few figures are busy unloading a rowboat onto the quay. Several sailing ships in the background. To the left a large round tower, and in the background a hill with fortifications.
Etching on thin laid paper, made by Claude Lorrain after his own design, c. 1640 Sheet size 192 x 126 mm. Claude Lorrain (born Claude Gellée, c. 1600-1682) was a French painter, draughtsman and etcher of the Baroque era.
In good condition, a nice impression, mounted on a card carrier. Lower right corner with some paper damage.
